Elicitation exercise (as per TG)
   Books closed, 2 min to discover all they can about 'My Last Holiday'
   Use besteikaiwa.com timer (shortcut on desktop)

Grammar - Irregular Verbs
   Give some examples of regular and irregular verbs and elicit further examples of irregulars.
   Have students scan one reading each for past tense verbs have them underline regular verbs and circle irregulars.
   Read the reading for the students (have them read it themselves if they're a stronger class - it's a long reading, though)

   Ask, 'Why was it the wrong time?'

Grammar Bank

  The Grammar Bank on pg. 128 could be done now in class or set as homework.

Conversation

Continue on to a general chat about holidays and vacations and lead with some questions to practice the structures and verbs introduced as required.

'Holiday Verb Phrases' slideshow

The attached slideshow is a very simple little show for practicing verb phrases and is built from the Vocabulary Bank material (page 147)

The show has also been converted into a Flash presentation and is available for use on the student's homepage for schools using the besteikaiwa.com system.
